So I first purchased two of these little bad boys, liked it so much, so I bought a third one. I have been looking for the perfect speaker for some time now that will fit and looks nice for my house. I’ve previously owned a pair of Bose L1 Compact and a pair of JBL EON One speakers. Now both of those are a little too bulky for my house and how I wanted to place things around my house. I’ve been playing in the band for the past 10 years now so I wanted to get something of very high quality and that will last me for 10 years down the road.

When I first heard of this new Bose S1 Pro speaker, I was kind of not sure if it would be powerful enough until I actually heard one of it at a party and I fell in love with it immediately. That led me to purchasing 3 of these and I have been loving it every second of owning it.

Speakers came in delivered very professionally inside a regular cardboard box, then inside is the official Bose packaging. So 2 layer of boxes along with styrofoam really kept the Bose S1 Pro protected during shipping.

Inside the box, it came with the charging cable and the QuickStart guide. The battery does come with it already installed inside the speaker, so we don’t have to do any installation at all.

With this rechargeable battery, once it is fully charged, the battery will last up to 11 hours of loud and high quality audio.

The Bose S1 Pro speaker can be positioned in three different ways. First is to simply leave it flat vertically on a table or on a speaker stand. Second is you can simply tilt the speaker back, in a vertical position. The third way is you can lay it onto its side and tilt it over on the to use it as a monitor for on stage. Now depending on how you place the S1, the EQ will automatically be adjusted according to how you position the speaker, and it sounds beautifully and extremely high quality no matter how you position it. The Bose logo is also adjustable. You can turn the Bose logo on the S1 counter clockwise so that it is readable when laying side ways.

On top of the S1, there is a handle for you to conveniently carry the speaker anywhere that you go.

When it comes to the size, this thing is so compact and small that it is so convenient and I can literally bring this anywhere. Either it be outside for a outdoor event or just using it inside the house for Karaoke-ing or just listening to music. This is just like love to the ear and love to the sight. Its height it is approximately 13 inches and width wise, it is about 9 inches by 8 inches across.

Behind the Bose S1 Pro speaker are three different inputs. Two of the inputs you actually have EQ control: Base, Treble and Reverb control. With these 2 inputs, (both are combo ports which we can use 1/4″ cables or XLR cables) we can connect a microphone or any instrument such as guitar or piano. Or you can send audio in from a mixer. These first 2 inputs also have the Bose ToneMatch switch built in for us to easily switch from microphone to instrument (specifically tuned for Guitars). Bose famous ToneMatch really enhances our vocal. The same holds true when switch over to Instrument also. This really makes the Bose S1 Pro a ultimate all in one PA system. The third input is actually the Bluetooth in function or the 3.5 millimeter auxiliary cable. All three inputs has its own volume control. Lastly, there’s one output port which uses the 1/4″ cable. The Charging port and power button is also located on the back.

With the power button, you can simply press down all the way to put it into a fast charge mode. In this fast charge mode, The Bose S1 Pro will be fully charged within 5 hours, and will have enough juice to last up to 11 hours of nonstop audio. To turn it off, leave the button in the middle position. And to turn it on, press it all the way up. The S1 will charge in any position, however it charge fastest in the fast charge mode. While in the off or on mode, it will take a longer time to fully charge, of course this doesn’t matter if we already have to power cord plugged in.

Now too connect the Bose S1 Pro to our phone (or any other devices with Bluetooth) all you have to do is press the Bluetooth button, hold it down for two seconds and the Bluetooth light should be blinking white. This is when you can actually search for he Bluetooth of this speaker on your phone, computer, or whatever device you want to use. If you have a device that don’t have Bluetooth, then you can actually use the 3.5 millimeter input jack.

If one Bose S1 is not enough for you, you can actually connect as many additional speaker to this one as you want because it has an output on each S1. So I output from the main S1 speaker to the second S1, then from the second S1 to the third using 1/4″ cables.

Now if you only own 2 of these Bose S1 Pro, then you can actually use the Bose Connect app. The Bose connect will allow you to pair both of these Bose S1 Pro wirelessly via bluetooth. The music will then be played on both S1 simultaneous at the same time, wirelessly without any wiring, which is pretty cool and nice. You can find out how to pair 2 Bose S1 Pro via Bluetooth Here.

So now how many pound is the Bose S1? The S1 weigh right under 16 pound, and to be exact it weights 15.7 pounds, which is pretty light for something so impressive and powerful.

Now some question you may be wondering is, does it have as much bass as the Bose L1 or the JBL EON ONE? Of course it does not have as much bass as those two, but keep in mind how small and compact these things are. So these come built in with a 6 inch sub woofer so the Bass that the S1 puts out is pretty impressive for something its size. I can even feel the air kind of like pumping out when I’m standing about a foot away from the S1. The audio and the bass it pumps out is very good and very high, top-notch quality as what you can expect from Bose.

So with all that being said, a pair of the Bose S1 Pro has more than enough power for a small to medium party/gigs, or If you sing or play the guitar solo.

Overall, do I recommend this and say this is a good purchase? Absolutely yes guys!
