I'd say ME3 has a fair few good variations in enemy abilities and behaviour such as the Guardian (need special tactics to get past the shields), Phantoms (in your face melee enemies), Pyros. The multiplayer aspect of Mass Effect 3 is essentially a co-op based survival mode against waves of different enemies from the single player. Each match consists of 10 waves of enemies, with a “bonus” wave at the end as you attempt to survive extraction before being overrun by enemies. Every game has a maximum of only 4 players, making teamwork important, especially on harder difficulties. As far as the difficulty goes, it is split into Bronze, Silver, and Gold, with Bronze being closer to “normal” gameplay in single player, Silver similar to Hardcore, and Gold being Insanity.For players of all skill levels, the same general guidelines apply:
Find a class that suits your playstyle and stick with it. Having at least one maxed out character that you're comfortable with is imperative to taking on Silver or Gold difficulties
Save your money.
Don’t be a hero. Nobody likes a teammate who tries to take on the entire Reaper offensive by themselves. Stick together and work as a team, because if you don’t, your game will end in a heartbeat.
Learn the maps. Effective use of the cover system is the difference between life and death in the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. Know where the enemy spawns, the location of ammo boxes, and where the “safe” zones are, especially when taking on Gold.
Know thy enemy. Learn the difference between Reaper, Geth, and Cerberus units, and the strengths and weaknesses of each boss. Play bronze a few times with each enemy type, and please stay away from Banshees.
Another huge factor to take into account when taking on bosses on Gold is the map and it's characteristics:
Firebase Dagger:This is one of the larger and easier maps to use in multiplayer and a solid choice for a Gold run. When fighting enemies like Reapers, it’s essential to have room to kite around enemies like Banshees. The best place in this map to stay around is the top hallway area, as it allows you to see the entire map, and also has suitable cover from ranged attacks.
Firebase Ghost:Ghost is also one of the larger maps in the Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer, which makes it a good choice against certain enemies. However, the objectives and extraction points can be a pain in the ass to get to if there are lots of enemies, especially 'boss' enemies.
Firebase Giant:Firebase Giant is an interesting map, with a layout much like a long rectangle compared to the more square style of other maps. A good place to defend is the main bunker at the top, as the enemies usually spawn at the far side of the map, and you can thin them out a fair bit before they get close.
Firebase Glacier:Since this map is so small, close quarters combat is nigh unavoidable. When fighting enemies like Reapers, it can be extremely difficult to fend off multiple Banshees and Brutes at the same time without coordinated teamwork. Remember: don't be a hero. You aren't impressing anyone by putting the entire match at risk.
Firebase Reactor:Reactor is a fairly medium sized map that can really go either way in terms of difficulty. A good place to defend against enemies like Banshees is the terminal area on the other side of the main reactor. There is plenty of cover and thus plenty of room for flanking and kiting boss enemies.
Firebase White:Firebase White is another medium sized ME3 multiplayer map, and arguably the easiest for a Gold run. The best place to start is at the top area near the ammo box, as it gives you a clear view of all the enemy spawns, which is imperative when boss enemies are dropped in. There is a good spot for Infiltrators near the back of the area on the catwalk.
Now that you're somewhat familiar with the maps involved and the guidelines to take into account, you're ready to take on Gold. There is no singular strategy involved with taking on boss enemies. One must simply be familiar with the opposing force and be intelligent when taking action. Remember: Don't be a hero. Stay in cover, keep a good amount of ammunition and equipment on your person at ALL times, especially during Gold, and, above all, work as a team and stay alive despite what the computer throws at you. If you find yourself in a tight spot, fall back into a safe area, possibly near a more fortunate team member, and, if you do happen to fall in combat, alert your team mates immediately to ensure you aren't executed by stray infantry. The biggest threats, however, are the boss enemies. A good strategy is to weaken the less threatening units (Troopers and Centurions for Cerberus, Troopers and Hunters for Geth, Husks and Marauders for Reapers) before taking on the boss enemies. It is much more likely for your squad to be overwhelmed by a swarm of weaker units than it is for them to be overwhelmed by one or two heavier units.-Atlases:Of course, the big bosses of Cerberus are the Atlas mechs. These giant war machines not only pack a strong minigun, but also a high-powered rocket launcher that will take your shields down immediately. The best strategy is to have everybody focus their firepower and tech on this leviathan. When it’s chasing you, run and take cover (particularly when you see it readying its rockets), but the moment it turns its back, unload on it. Also, ALWAYS be aware of the swarm of enemies typically surrounding it. Teammates can take of them easily with missile launchers, but it is typically smarter to preserve your missile launchers until later waves, when the threat is something like 2 Atlases, 3 Phantoms, and 6 Centurions as opposed to 1 Atlas. Overload, Energy Drain and other biotic powers are very effective against the Atlas’s shield and can even trigger critical biotic explosions. A good weak point to focus fire on against the Atlas is it's glass cockpit. Remember, like all boss enemies, the Atlas has an instant kill move that will whittle down your squad if you don't keep your distance. Line of sight is also very powerful when battling an Atlas. If you can’t see the Atlas’s guns, it typically can’t hurt you. Always take cover, pop up every now and then and fill it up with bullets, and then go back into cover as soon as you notice that it's about to open fire. Vertical cover can also be useful, because as long as the Atlas is in your sights, you can shoot it, even through walls.
-Brutes:Brutes not only have thick armor, but also bone-crushing power. However, one can easily take down a Brute by themselves, let alone with 3 other players. It is very important to take down the Brutes before taking on the Banshee, as it is very easy to get carried away with an already threatening Banshee and then suddenly having your shields depleted by a stray Brute. Of course, you want to avoid up-close and personal interactions with Brutes, but by taking shots at them from a distance, they are easily conquered. A good strategy for taking down Brutes, especially if you find yourself face to face with one while your other team mates are pinned down somewhere else on the map, is kiting it around an area and taking shots at it when it's back is turned to you. Ratchet and clank a crack in time iso. Treat it like a bull in a matador ring. Remember: the Brute's ONLY attack is it's charge. However, Brutes are easily the least threatening of the boss enemies and can be taken down quickly if handled intelligently.
-Banshees:Oh, Banshees. The bane of the multiplayer experience. Banshees move fast and unpredictably, possess the same one-shot, non-revivable kill as the Phantom or the Atlas, and have an ominous shriek to alert you of their presence (which tends to be rather useful in subtly warning the team to watch their back). The worst part about Banshees, however, is the fact that they are total bullet sponges. They don't seem to take any damage and don't stagger after taking powerful shots or attacks. Don't lose hope, however. There is a reliable way to take them down rather quickly. With their tendency to charge right at the closest player the best strategy is to concentrate fire and keep a safe distance from these monsters (use any shield and barrier-reducing tech to your advantage). Make sure they don't corner ANYONE, as it can mean an instant death and one less squad member. As is the case with all boss enemies, their main weakness seems to be biotic or tech powers. Use these to your advantage and DON'T let the Banshee push your squad back into reinforced enemy territory, as that is a surefire way to lose the entire match. Also, if a Banshee shows up during a hacking objective, don't let it into the hacking area as it will make short work of the objective and your entire squad. Avoid it's warp blast and close-quarters insta-kill move at all costs. The best strategy involved in fighting a Banshee is to keep your distance (I'm looking at you, Vanguards) and give it everything you've got. With quick reflexes, a sharp mind, and a good team, Banshees can be taken down in no time.
Even though knowing your enemy is beyond important, Mass Effect 3 multiplayer is a game of teamwork. Serial avast premier security 2019.
